Case Summary
The applicant, a same-sex partner, had been cohabiting for approximately three years before approaching us. Based on our professional experience, we recommended that the applicant apply for a direct exemption from the 2-year waiting period to obtain a Permanent Residency (PR). The visa application was submitted in early October 2018, and on April 28, 2020, we successfully secured a 2-year waiting period exemption for the client, with both the 820 Temporary Residency (TR) and 801 Permanent Residency (PR) visas granted simultaneously.
