P was a landscape designer who decided to immigrate to Australia at the age of 37. As a landscape designer, his occupation was in high demand. However, due to his age, P’s immigration score was not ideal.
We began by assisting him with his skills assessment, carefully reviewing his work experience. P had worked for several different companies, gaining extensive experience, but his documentation was incomplete. We communicated with him step by step, and despite the incomplete documentation, we worked hard to help him prove the authenticity of his work experience. In the end, we were able to include all of his work experience from the past 10 years in the assessment, earning P the valuable 15 additional points. At the same time, with our encouragement, P, who had no overseas study experience, achieved an English proficiency level equivalent to an IELTS score of 4×8 through self-study, further improving his overall immigration score.
However, as P’s age was approaching 40, we became anxious as he missed several rounds of offshore invitations. Our team continued to follow up on state sponsorship opportunities for P across different regions.
In the end, P successfully received an offshore 189 visa invitation in June 2024, and three weeks after submitting his visa application, his visa was approved without the need for additional documentation.
