Temporary activity Visa (subclass 408)
This visa allows you to come to Australia to do specific types of work on a short-term, temporary basis. It consists of 10 streams:
- Special program stream;
- Religious work stream;
- Research activities stream;
- Invited for other social and cultural activity stream;
- Sporting activities stream;
- Entertainment activities stream;
- Super-yacht crew stream;
- Exchange arrangements stream;
- Australian government endorsed events stream;
- Domestic work for executives stream;
Special program stream Details:
This visa lets you stay in Australia to take part in an approved special program. Special programs can include youth exchange, cultural enrichment or community programs, school language assistants or “gap year school volunteering “.
