Prospective Marriage Visa (Subclass 300)

This visa lets you come to Australia to marry your prospective spouse and then apply for a Partner visa.

Stay period  9 months from date of grant of visa.
What you can do with this visa 
  • Stay in Australia for 9 months from date of grant of visa;
  • Work in Australia;
  • Study in Australia at your own expense.
Requirements Must:

  • Be 18 years old or older;
  • Be sponsored;
  • Intend to marry your prospective spouse before the visa period ends.
Cost 

Main Applicant:

  • From $7,160 AUD.

Sub Applicant:

  • Over 18 years of age: AU $3,5855;
  • Under 18 years of age: AU $1,795.
Conditions 
  • No entry before (person);
  • Not marry before first entry;
  • marry within visa validity;
  • primary applicant to marry.
Processing times 
  • 75% of applications: 15 months;
  • 90% of applications 21 months.
