Dependent Child Visa (Subclass 445)

This visa allows a child to stay in Australia temporarily while we process their parent’s permanent Partner visa application.

Stay period	Temporarily, until we have decided the permanent visa application of the parent of the child.
What you can do with this visa	Move to or stay in Australia until we decide their parent’s permanent partner visa application; Travel to and from Australia; Work and study in Australia.
Requirements	Must: Be a dependent child of the visa-holding parent; Be sponsored by the nominator or sponsor of the visa-holding parent.
Cost	Main Applicant: From $2,470 AUD. Sub Applicant: Over 18 years of age: AU $1,235; Under 18 years of age: AU $620.
Conditions	No conditions attached.
Processing times	75% of applications: 10 months; 90% of applications 18 months.
