Investor Stream (Subclass 188B)

This temporary visa requires you to invest AUD1.5 million in an Australian state or territory and maintain business and investment activity in Australia.

 

188B Main Advantages

• No English Level requirements;
• Does not require the applicant to own a business;
• No pressure for entrepreneurship and business operations after arriving in Australia；
• Able to invest in government designated bonds, high security；
• Able to carry along family members who meet requirements with the application of residence and corresponding permanent resident visa;
• Visa holder is free to travel to and from Australia；
• During the period of holding the visa, children of the applicant are able to attend Australian public primary or secondary school for free.

188B Basic Eligibility 

• Need to be invited to apply through EOI;
• nominated by an eligible government organisation;
• Under age of 55 years old (unless gained state government exception);
• Previous success in investment history or business.

188B Business Investment Stream Details:

Stay period	Up to 4 years and 3 months
What you can do with this visa	Carry out business and investment activity in Australia; Stay in Australia for up to 4 years and 3 months; Apply for a permanent Business Innovation and Investment (Permanent) visa (subclass 888) Investor stream.
Requirements	Must: Make an investment of AUD1.5 million in an Australian state or territory; Score at least 65 on the points test; Have net business, investment and personal assets of at least AUD2.25 million.
Cost	Main Applicant: From $4,985 AUD.     Sub Applicant: over 18 years of age: AU $2,495.00; under 18 years of age: AU $1,245.00.
Conditions	Not marry before first entry.
Processing times	75% of applications: 19 months; 90% of applications 21 months.

Requirements	Must hold business innovation and investment (provisional) visa in the investor stream; Meet certain investment requirements related to your provisional visa; Have a current nomination from an Australian state or territory.
Cost	Main Applicant: From $2,405 AUD. Sub Applicant: over 18 years of age: AU $1,205.00; under 18 years of age: AU $600.
Conditions	No conditions attached.
Processing times	Unavailable due to low volume of applications.
